SL811P-E
Port Description

8x 10/100Base-TX PoE ports (max 25.4W each per IEEE802.3 af/at), 1x 10/100/1000Base-T uplink RJ45, 1x 1000Base-X SFP slot (1.25Gbps)
  • 8 PoE ports deliver up to 25.4W per port, auto-detects and powers only 802.3af/at devices to protect non-PoE gear
  • One-key DIP switch: enables VLAN isolation (ports 1-8 isolated from each other, only talk to uplink) or 250-meter long range (forces 10Mbps speed)
  • Metal case with internal power supply, no fan – runs silently and stable in temps from -20°C to 60°C
  • 1 Gigabit copper uplink plus 1 SFP slot for fiber backbone, supports wire-speed forwarding
  • Plug and play – zero configuration required, ideal for quick deployments in surveillance or small office networks

Plug-and-Play 8 Port PoE Unmanaged Switch for Small Business Surveillance

If you’re setting up IP cameras in a small hotel, retail shop, or a medium-sized office, you need a switch that just works without complex config. This 8 port PoE unmanaged switch gives you eight 10/100Base-TX ports, each able to deliver up to 25.4W of standard IEEE802.3af/at power over the same Ethernet cable. That means you can power cameras, access points, or VoIP phones right through the network cable – no extra power adapters needed next to each device. And because it’s unmanaged, you simply plug in the cables and everything starts running.

What makes this switch stand out is the DIP switch on the front. Flip it, and ports 1-8 enter VLAN isolation mode – they can still talk to the uplink ports (port 9 and the SFP slot), but they’re blocked from talking to each other. This effectively kills broadcast storms and reduces unnecessary traffic, which is a common headache in flat networks with lots of cameras. At the same time, the same DIP switch enables 250-meter long distance transmission by forcing the port speed down to 10Mbps. If you have a camera sitting 200 meters away from the switch room, this feature saves you from buying extra extenders or fiber converters – just use standard twisted pair cable and set the DIP switch.

The switch is built with a metal case and internal power supply, so it handles heat well without a fan. It can run stable in ambient temperatures from -20°C to 60°C, which is fine for most indoor and semi-outdoor enclosure setups. Since there’s no noisy fan, you can put it in a meeting room or hallway without annoying hum. Installation is straightforward – it sits on a desk or can be wall-mounted with the included brackets. The total weight is under 0.7 kg, so mounting it on a wall isn’t a problem.

For the uplink, you get one 10/100/1000Base-T copper port and one 1000Base-X SFP slot. That gigabit connection ensures your video streams from all cameras won’t bottleneck when they hit the backbone. The SFP slot lets you link to a fiber backbone if your building requires long runs or electrical isolation. All ports support auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, so crossover cables are unnecessary.

Whether you’re a small business IT admin, a security system integrator, or a network tech at a retail chain, this 8 port PoE unmanaged switch gives you the right mix: simple setup, standard PoE power, distance extension, and solid metal build. It’s not a flashy enterprise box, but for the job it’s designed for, it’s a reliable workhorse.
