Unmanaged PoE Powered Switch with PoE Passthrough, 8-Port Fast Ethernet, Reverse PoE, Desktop Metal for IP Camera & Network Extension

8-port PoE powered switch with PoE passthrough supports 24-48V passive PoE input on ports 1-7 and PoE output on port 8. VLAN isolation, plug-and-play, metal shell for heat dissipation.

SF710RP-1S
Port Description

Ports 1-7: PoE input (24-48V passive); Port 8: PoE output. All ports 10/100Mbps RJ45. Pin assignment: 4/5+ 7/8-.
  • PoE powered switch with PoE passthrough – ports 1-7 receive PoE in, port 8 delivers PoE out
  • Fixed VLAN isolation: ports 1-7 isolated from each other, all communicate with port 8
  • Passive PoE 24-48V compliant (pins 45+ 78-)
  • 12V DC output on jack (can be jumpered to 5V) for powering ONT/media converter
  • Metal enclosure for heat dissipation and durability
  • Plug-and-play, no software setup required
  • Transient voltage suppression, storm control, ARP & DHCP protection

PoE Powered Switch with PoE Passthrough – Simple, Reliable Network Expansion

If you’ve ever run out of power outlets near an IP camera or needed to extend a PoE link to a device that’s just a bit too far, the SF710RP-1S is exactly what you’re looking for. This 8-port unmanaged switch is a PoE powered switch with PoE passthrough, meaning it can be powered by PoE from an upstream switch (ports 1-7) and then pass that power out through port 8 to another PoE device. No extra wall wart needed for the switch itself in many setups.

Designed for small businesses, surveillance installers, and network techs who value simplicity, this switch uses passive PoE (24-48V) on pins 4/5+ and 7/8-. Ports 1-7 are PoE input only – they receive power from a compatible PoE source. Port 8 outputs PoE, so you can daisy-chain another PoE device. The switch also has a DC jack that provides 12V output (or 5V with a jumper change), handy for powering an ONT or media converter directly.

One standout feature is the fixed VLAN mode: in VLAN isolation mode, ports 1-7 cannot talk to each other, but they all communicate with port 8. This is perfect for segmenting IP cameras – each camera is isolated from others, reducing broadcast traffic and improving security. You can switch between standard sharing mode and VLAN isolation mode easily.

The metal body helps keep things cool even in warmer environments (rated -10°C to 55°C). With store-and-forward switching, 1.6Gbps bandwidth, and MAC table of 1K, this switch handles typical 100Mbps surveillance or office traffic without drama. Plus, it has transient voltage suppressors for ESD protection, storm control, and ARP attack prevention – practical protections that save you headaches on site.

Who benefits most? IT admins deploying IP cameras in retail stores or offices, integrators extending PoE in tight spaces, or anyone needing a simple PoE powered switch with Poe passthrough for a small network expansion. No configuration needed – just plug in, set your VLAN mode if desired, and go.
