The IES100-8E1F is an unmanaged 8 Port Industrial Ethernet Switch with 1 SC Fiber Uplink Port, built for control cabinets, roadside enclosures, plant floors, and other locations where office-grade networking equipment is not a good fit. It connects up to eight copper Ethernet devices through 10/100Base-TX ports and sends traffic over a 100Base-X SC fiber link. This makes it practical for extending a local industrial network beyond the 100-meter limit of copper cabling while keeping the installation straightforward.
For maintenance teams, the main benefit is simple deployment. The switch uses plug-and-play operation, so there is no web interface, IP setup, or software configuration before the network can go live. Each RJ45 port automatically negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps, half or full duplex, and MDI/MDI-X. Fiber provides electrical isolation between network areas and helps reduce the effect of ground potential differences and electromagnetic noise. The fixed SC uplink is suited to common industrial fiber installations, while the available fiber distance depends on the selected transceiver and cable type. Multimode links can reach up to 2 km, while single-mode options support distances from 2 km to 100 km. Confirm the optical specification before ordering when the project requires a particular wavelength or transmission distance.
Power reliability is handled with dual redundant DC inputs from 12 V to 58 V. If one power source or circuit is interrupted, the second input can keep the switch online, which is useful for traffic cabinets, factory control systems, and remote monitoring sites. Reverse-polarity and overload protection help reduce the risk of wiring mistakes during field installation. The metal housing, fanless natural cooling, IP40 protection, and low power consumption below 5 W also reduce routine maintenance and avoid adding another fan to a dusty cabinet.

The switch operates from -40°C to +85°C and is designed to handle vibration, shock, electrostatic discharge, electrical fast transients, and surge conditions when the applicable protection option is selected. Imported surge protection components help protect against induced high voltage and transient events; however, the switch should still be installed with proper grounding and site-level surge protection. IEC Class A EMC protection supports cleaner operation near industrial equipment and power circuits.
