The IES300-8E is an 8 Port Gigabit Industrial Ethernet Switch DIN-Rail Unmanaged solution for network connections that need to keep working beyond the limits of a standard office switch. It provides eight 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports for PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs, IP cameras, access controllers, sensors, and other Ethernet devices. Because every copper port supports automatic speed, duplex, and MDI/MDI-X detection, technicians can connect existing Cat5 or better copper cabling without spending time on manual port settings.

Power continuity is addressed with dual redundant DC inputs from 12V to 58V. If one supply path becomes unavailable, the second input can maintain the switch connection, provided the installation uses an appropriate redundant power arrangement. Overload protection and reverse-polarity protection add a useful safety margin during field wiring and service work. The six-pin Phoenix terminal supports a secure cabinet connection that is better suited to industrial installation than a loose consumer-style adapter.
Electrical interference is another common source of intermittent network faults. Imported surge protection devices help protect the signal and power sides against induced high voltage and transient events. The switch is specified for IEC61000-4-5 surge immunity, IEC61000-4-2 electrostatic discharge, and IEC61000-4-4 electrical fast transients, with additional resistance to shock, vibration, and free fall according to the listed IEC tests. These measures do not replace site grounding or surge protection, but they help the switch stay online in electrically noisy environments.
