Industrial PoE Connectivity for Remote and Harsh-Site Networks
The IES200-4P2F is an Unmanaged 4 Port Industrial Ethernet Switch with 2 Gigabit Optical Fiber Ports, built for installations where ordinary office switches are not a good fit. It connects four 10/100Mbps Ethernet devices and provides two 1000Base-X SFP fiber uplinks for control rooms, aggregation switches, or remote network cabinets. With plug-and-play operation, technicians can install it without software setup or a management console.
For IP cameras, wireless access points, intercom systems, access controllers, and other field devices, the four RJ45 ports provide IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. Each port can deliver up to 30W, while the switch checks whether the connected device is PoE-compatible before applying power. This helps avoid accidental power delivery to standard Ethernet equipment and removes the need to install separate power adapters at each endpoint. For a small surveillance cabinet or access-control panel, that means fewer components, less cabling, and a cleaner service layout.
Fiber Uplinks for Longer Runs
Copper Ethernet is practical for local device connections, but remote cameras and roadside equipment often sit beyond the normal 100-meter copper reach. The two SFP fiber ports allow the network designer to select suitable multimode or singlemode transceivers for the required distance. Depending on the selected optical modules, the link can support short multimode connections or singlemode runs extending up to 100km. Fiber also keeps electrically sensitive field devices separated from the upstream network, which is useful around industrial machinery, outdoor cabinets, and long cable routes.
Industrial Protection Without Complicated Operation
The aluminum alloy housing uses natural heat dissipation, so there is no fan to collect dust or create an additional failure point. The switch is rated for operation from -40°C to 85°C, with 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity tolerance. This makes it suitable for factory floors, traffic and parking systems, renewable-energy sites, security cabinets, and other locations where temperature control is limited.
Power reliability is addressed through dual redundant DC inputs from 44V to 57V. If one supply path is interrupted, the second input can keep the switch running, helping maintenance teams avoid a full network outage during power-system service. Surge protection is included on both power and data lines, with protection levels designed for common industrial installation risks. It does not replace a properly grounded surge-protection system, but it adds a practical layer of protection at the switch.
Useful Field Settings for Installation Teams
A three-position DIP switch provides quick access to three practical functions. Forced 10Mbps mode can help extend copper transmission to as much as 250 meters in suitable cable conditions. VLAN mode isolates the four PoE Ethernet ports from one another while allowing each port to communicate with the fiber uplink, which is useful for separating cameras or edge devices. AI_PoE enables an intelligent watchdog function that can help recover a connected PoE device when communication or power behavior becomes abnormal.
All ports support automatic speed and duplex negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X, and full line-rate forwarding. The compact 139 × 109 × 48mm enclosure can be placed on a desktop, wall-mounted, or installed on a standard DIN rail. For IT administrators, system integrators, and small-business network buyers, this industrial 4 port PoE switch offers a straightforward way to add powered field connections and fiber distance without introducing the configuration work of a managed switch.
