Industrial PoE Connectivity for Demanding Network Sites
The IES300-8P2F is an Unmanaged 8 Port Gigabit Industrial PoE Switch with 2 SC Optical Fiber Ports, built for network installations where ordinary office switches may not be suitable. It combines eight 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports with two 1.25G SC fiber ports, giving installers a practical way to connect PoE endpoints locally while sending network traffic over longer fiber runs.
For IP surveillance, the switch can power cameras, wireless access points, intercoms, access-control terminals, and other compatible devices through standard Ethernet cabling. Each copper port supports IEEE 802.3af/at and can provide up to 25.4W. The switch checks whether a connected device supports standard PoE before applying power, helping protect non-PoE equipment from accidental power delivery. This is useful for mixed installations where cameras, uplinks, sensors, and ordinary network devices share the same cabinet.
Long-Range Fiber Uplinks Without Extra Conversion Hardware
The two 1000Base-X SC optical fiber ports provide a direct fiber connection between field cabinets, control rooms, buildings, or remote monitoring points. Depending on the selected optical specification, multimode transmission can reach up to 550m or 2km, while single-mode options support distances from 2km to 100km. This makes the switch suitable for road traffic control, industrial automation lines, building automation, and distributed security systems where copper cable distance is not enough or electrical isolation is preferred.
All eight RJ45 ports negotiate automatically at 10/100/1000Mbps and support auto MDI/MDI-X, so installers do not need to manage cable type or manually set port speed. Store-and-forward switching, a 20Gbps switching bandwidth, and a 14.88Mpps forwarding rate keep local traffic moving smoothly. For an IP camera network or industrial monitoring system, that means fewer manual settings during deployment and a cleaner handover to the maintenance team.
Designed for Cabinets, Machines, and Outdoor-Adjacent Installations
The metal housing mounts on a DIN rail and uses natural cooling instead of a fan. With no fan to wear out or collect dust, the switch is a good fit for control cabinets, factory floors, traffic equipment rooms, and small machine-network enclosures. Its operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C supports sites with wide seasonal or equipment-related temperature changes. The IP40 housing, high-strength corrugated metal enclosure, and IEC Class A EMC protection help the unit stay dependable around electrical equipment and industrial control systems.
Power availability is often a concern in remote cabinets. The switch accepts dual redundant 44V to 58V DC inputs through a Phoenix terminal, allowing a backup power source to remain connected. Overload protection and reverse-polarity protection reduce common installation risks. Imported surge protection devices and optional IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection are available for projects that require additional protection at signal and power terminals. Minimum power consumption is below 5W, helping limit heat and operating cost when PoE load is low.
A Practical Choice for Industrial Network Expansion
This industrial Gigabit PoE switch is intended for IT administrators, system integrators, automation engineers, and maintenance teams that need straightforward deployment rather than a complex management platform. It is plug-and-play, requires no software configuration, and provides clear link, PoE, fiber, and power indicators for quick troubleshooting. Use it to extend a small industrial Ethernet network, connect remote IP cameras, or build a stable fiber-backed PoE segment for long-term operation.
