Industrial PoE Connectivity for Remote and Harsh Environments
The IES100-4P2F is an unmanaged 4 Port Industrial PoE Switch with 2 SC Fiber Uplink Ports, built for network links that must keep running outside a clean office or standard wiring cabinet. It combines four 10/100Base-TX PoE ports for cameras, wireless access points, intercoms, sensors, and other powered devices with two 155 Mbps SC fiber ports for longer-distance uplinks. For installers and network administrators, this layout keeps copper connections close to field equipment while fiber carries the backbone link back to a control room, cabinet, or small data center.
Each RJ45 port supports IEEE 802.3af/at and can deliver up to 25.4 W. The switch checks whether a connected device supports standard PoE before applying power, helping protect ordinary Ethernet equipment from unwanted PoE output. Auto-negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X, and half/full-duplex adaptation reduce setup work during installation. Since the switch is unmanaged, there is no IP address, software license, or configuration process to deal with. Connect the DC supply, plug in the field devices, and the link is ready to use.
Built for Field Cabinets and Industrial Panels
Industrial installations often face heat, cold, electrical noise, vibration, and unstable power conditions. This DIN-rail industrial PoE switch uses a fanless metal housing and natural cooling, so there is no fan to collect dust or become a common failure point. Its operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C supports roadside cabinets, factory floors, building automation panels, and outdoor monitoring enclosures when the complete installation is properly protected. IP40 housing protection, reverse-polarity protection, and overload protection add practical safeguards for day-to-day operation.
Dual redundant DC power inputs accept 44–58 VDC. If one power feed is interrupted, the second supply can help maintain network availability, which is useful for traffic control systems, industrial automation lines, and security monitoring sites where a local power fault should not take down every connected device. Surge and EMC protection are also provided for demanding electrical environments; the optional surge specification should be confirmed for the required project configuration.
Long-Distance Fiber Uplinks Without Extra Configuration
The two SC fiber uplink ports support multimode and single-mode options, with transmission distances selected according to the installed fiber and optical module specification. This makes the switch suitable for connecting remote cameras or control devices across a plant, warehouse, campus, road junction, or building. Fiber also helps separate field Ethernet traffic from electromagnetic interference commonly found near motors, power equipment, and industrial control wiring.
With 1.2 Gbps switching bandwidth, store-and-forward switching, a 2K MAC address table, and line-speed forwarding, the switch handles typical surveillance and automation traffic without adding unnecessary management overhead. Low minimum power consumption helps limit cabinet heat and ongoing energy use, while the compact 139 × 108 × 50 mm enclosure fits neatly on a DIN rail. It is a practical choice for OEM control panels, system integrators, IT maintenance teams, and small businesses that need stable PoE extension but do not need VLAN, QoS, or web management functions.
