Practical Network Control for Industrial and Enterprise Deployments
This is a Layer 2+ managed industrial Ethernet switch, not an unmanaged edge switch. Administrators can configure VLANs, trunk and hybrid ports, link aggregation, QoS, ACL rules, port isolation, storm control and multicast handling through HTTPS Web management, CLI or SNMP. IPv4/IPv6 management and static routing allow the switch to connect different network segments without requiring a separate routing device for every small industrial subnet.
For video surveillance, access control or production data, traffic can be prioritized with 802.1p and DSCP mapping, eight output queues per port, and SP, WRR or mixed queue scheduling. IGMP Snooping and multicast VLAN support help prevent unnecessary multicast traffic from spreading across the whole access network. ERPS recovery can be less than 20 ms under specified network conditions, while spanning-tree protection supports more conventional redundant topologies. Up to 250 ERPS rings and up to 254 devices per ring can be supported according to the network design. Static aggregation and LACP also provide a practical way to increase link capacity and maintain connectivity between cabinets or distribution switches.
Designed for Cabinets, Plants and Outdoor-Adjacent Locations
The galvanized steel housing, fan-assisted cooling and -40°C to +80°C operating temperature range suit control cabinets, transportation equipment rooms, power facilities, mining sites, marine installations and renewable-energy projects. The built-in AC 100–240V input works with standard rack power, while two 12–48V DC inputs add flexibility for industrial power systems. AC has priority, and the switch can automatically change to the DC connection when the AC supply is interrupted. A fault alarm contact can be connected to a monitoring system for faster response.
For daily maintenance, technicians can check link activity, system status, CPU and memory use, traffic statistics and logs from the management interface. LLDP, cable diagnosis, ping testing, port mirroring and configuration backup reduce the time needed to locate a problem.
