The actual hardware provides 24 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports and four 100/1000Base-X SFP slots, giving installers room to connect current devices while keeping spare capacity for future expansion.
In a typical control cabinet or equipment room, copper ports connect PLCs, IP cameras, access controllers, industrial computers and wireless access points. The four SFP uplinks can link remote cabinets, production areas or buildings over multimode or single-mode fiber. Since each port supports wire-speed forwarding, traffic does not need to queue behind a slow shared uplink. This is useful when surveillance video, control data and management traffic run across the same network.
Practical L2+ Management for Day-to-Day Operations
Network administrators can manage the switch through HTTPS Web management, CLI, Telnet, SSH 2.0, SNMP or the console port. L2+ features add IPv4 management, static routes and a default route, allowing the switch to handle straightforward segmented network designs without requiring a separate routing device at every cabinet. VLAN, QinQ, MAC-based VLAN and protocol-based VLAN functions help separate office devices, cameras, automation equipment and guest traffic.
When traffic priorities matter, QoS supports 802.1p and DSCP mapping, packet marking, rate limiting, filtering and eight output queues per port. SP, WRR and SP+WRR scheduling let administrators give control or voice traffic the treatment it needs while keeping routine data moving. IGMP Snooping and multicast VLAN support also help reduce unnecessary multicast traffic in video monitoring and automation applications.
Designed for Stable Industrial Deployment
Link failures are easier to manage with STP, RSTP and MSTP network redundancy. RSTP and MSTP can restore a backup path quickly when a one-way link or cable connection fails, reducing disruption to important services. LACP and static aggregation provide additional bandwidth and link backup where the network design calls for it.
Security controls are aimed at real operational risks rather than just a checklist. IEEE 802.1X and MAC authentication restrict access, while ACLs can filter traffic by MAC address, IP address, protocol, TCP/UDP port, VLAN and other fields. DHCP Snooping, ARP inspection, IP source protection, IP-MAC-VLAN-Port binding, port isolation, storm control and MAC learning limits help contain unauthorized access and broadcast problems.
The fanless aluminum housing reduces moving parts and keeps routine maintenance simple. The switch operates from -40°C to +80°C and supports both AC and DC input, with automatic changeover to the DC connection if the AC supply is interrupted. Built-in protection includes 6 kV lightning protection and industrial EMC protection. Desktop installation and 19-inch 1U rack mounting are both supported, so the unit fits equipment rooms as well as standard cabinets.
