Managed Gigabit Switching for Industrial Networks

The IS700-16E2F-30W is a managed industrial Ethernet switch built for sites that need more than simple plug-and-play connectivity. It provides 16 auto-sensing 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports for cameras, controllers, access points, PLCs, servers and other Ethernet devices, plus 2 Gigabit SFP fiber uplinks for longer-distance connections between cabinets, control rooms or network layers. Every port supports non-blocking wire-speed forwarding, so normal traffic does not have to compete with a limited internal link.

When buyers search for a 10-port gigabit managed industrial ethernet switch with 4 SFP fiber uplink, they are usually looking for three practical things: gigabit access, fiber expansion and management controls. This model provides the same core deployment capability with a larger 16-port copper access layout and 2 SFP uplinks. It is a better fit when the cabinet may grow beyond ten connected devices, while still keeping the fiber topology straightforward and easy to maintain.

Keep Ring Networks Available

Industrial networks often cannot wait for a technician to replace a cable before communication returns. The switch supports STP, RSTP and MSTP, as well as ITU-T G.8032 ERPS industrial ring protection. ERPS recovery can be less than 20 ms under specified network conditions, while STP-family protocols support common redundant uplink and multi-switch designs. For machine lines, traffic control cabinets, rail systems and outdoor infrastructure, this helps keep critical data moving when one side of a ring or link fails.

Useful Control for Day-to-Day Operations

The L2+ management feature set gives network administrators room to separate and prioritize traffic instead of treating every device the same. IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, MAC-based VLAN, protocol VLAN, Voice VLAN and QinQ support help divide production, surveillance, office and service traffic. Static routing and default routes allow the switch to handle selected Layer 3 forwarding tasks without adding another device for every small network segment.

QoS supports 802.1p and DSCP priority mapping, eight output queues per port, and SP, WRR or SP+WRR scheduling. This is useful when video streams, control data and ordinary office traffic share the same infrastructure. ACL rules can filter traffic by MAC address, IP address, protocol, TCP/UDP port or VLAN. Administrators can also use port isolation, storm control, IP-MAC-VLAN-Port binding, 802.1X, RADIUS and SSH/HTTPS management to reduce unwanted access and simplify policy enforcement.

Designed for Cabinets, Plants and Remote Sites

The fanless aluminum housing avoids a common maintenance point in dusty or vibration-prone locations. It supports desktop or 19-inch 1U rack installation and operates from -40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for industrial control rooms, intelligent transportation cabinets, rail transit systems, substations, mines, oil and gas facilities, marine equipment, metallurgy and renewable energy projects. Dual 12-48 VDC inputs support anti-reverse protection and automatic switching, while the built-in AC100-240 V supply provides an additional power option. AC has priority when both sources are connected.

Web management, console, Telnet, SSH 2.0, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, LLDP, NTP, DHCP snooping, cable diagnosis, system logs and one-key recovery give IT and OT teams practical tools for commissioning and troubleshooting. LED indicators show power, system, link, speed and fiber status at a glance. For procurement teams, the combination of 16 gigabit copper ports, SFP fiber uplinks, redundant power input and industrial temperature support reduces the need to mix several switch types across one project.
